I have written this in respond to a question re how much is the admission tickets for the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
The Shanghai World Expo will be held in China, Shanghai from 01-May-2010 to 31-Oct-2010.
Types of Tickets (8 types):
1. Peak Day Single Entry Ticket : RMB200
* General Public
* Valid for Peak days and any Standard day
* Single Entry only
* Peak Days are : May 1-3, Oct 1-7 and Oct 25-31 (Total 15 days)
* There is a RMB 10-20 dollars discount if you purchase before 01-May-2010
2. Peak Day Discounted Single Entry Ticket : RMB120
* Handicap
* People born before 1950
* China Military Personal
* Children above 1.2m tall
* Valid for Peak days and any Standard day
* Single Entry only
* Peak Days are : May 1-3, Oct 1-7 and Oct 25-31 (Total 15 days)
* There is a RMB 10-20 dollars discount if you purchase before 01-May-2010
3. Standard Day Single Entry Ticket : RMB160
* General Public
* Valid for Standard day only
* Single Entry only
* Standard days refers to any day not classified as a Peak day（Total 169days）
* There is a RMB 10-20 dollars discount if you purchase before 01-May-2010
4. Standard Day Discounted Single Entry Ticket : RMB100
* Handicap
* People born before 1950
* China Military Personal
* Children above 1.2m tall
* Valid for Peak days and any Standard day
* Single Entry only
* Standard days refers to any day not classified as a Peak day（Total 169days）
* There is a RMB 10-20 dollars discount if you purchase before 01-May-2010
4. 3 Visit Standard Day Entry Ticket : RMB400
* General Public
* Valid for any 3 Standard day entry only
* Each ticket can be only be use once per day only
* Standard days refers to any day not classified as a Peak day（Total 169days）
5. 7 Visit Standard Day Entry Ticket : RMB900
* General Public
* Valid for any 7 Standard day entry only
* Each ticket can be only be use once per day only
* Standard days refers to any day not classified as a Peak day（Total 169days）
6. Standard Day Night Entry Ticket : RMB90
* General Public
* Valid after 5pm on Standard day only
* Each ticket can be only be use once per day only
* Standard days refers to any day not classified as a Peak day（Total 169days）
7. Group Ticket : Book Through Travel Agent Only, Price unknown
* General Public
* Valid for Standard day entry only
* For groups of 15 and above
* Group must enter Expo together
* Standard days refers to any day not classified as a Peak day（Total 169days）
8. Student Group Ticket : Book Through Travel Agent Only, Price unknown
* Student from Public School Only
* Valid for Standard day entry only
* For groups of 30 and above
* Group must enter Expo together
* Standard days refers to any day not classified as a Peak day（Total 169days）
* Peak Days are days which the Shanghai authorities anticipate that there will be a huge flow of traffic due to the National Holidays. To manage such flow, the Shanghai authorities set a higher price for the entry ticket.
* The Peak days identified are May 1-3, October 1-7 and October 25-31 (Total 15 days).
